About Creative Use of Technolgy
Creative Use of Technology (CUT) is a creative makers company run by two entrepreneurs with backgrounds in urban planning and architecture. From that background, Has and Jeroen came across 3D printing and laser cutting. They became enthusiastic about the numerous possibilities and applications of these technologies and decided to join forces to give their creative ambitions a new direction.
In May 2012, this resulted in the establishment of Creative Use of Technology: a creative workplace with its own designs and products, as well as a facilitating platform for creatives who want to work with modern technology. We are continuously discovering new applications and possibilities for our own products and services.
Since the summer of 2014, we have been located in Brandpunt, an energetic and creative place in the center of Breda. It’s a place where lunch, shopping, meetings and lasering come together and provide a vibrant mix of makers, visitors and creatives.

Every product created here is thoughtfully designed, made and controlled by people who enjoy what they do.

Jeroen - Founder
Jeroen is co-founder of Creative Use of Technology with Has. Within CUT, he focuses on marketing, online visibility and website management. He analyzes marketing statistics, optimizes ads and researches how new techniques can be used to make processes smarter and more efficient.
Outside of work, he loves to cook, read a book, or watch a documentary. He also enjoys attending a festival or a concert every now and then. But what he loves most is traveling to a faraway destination.
Has - Founder
He started out alongside Jeroen as a creator and creative jack-of-all-trades. Now he focuses primarily on managing the company and the team.
In his free time, Has channels his creativity into making music, and he can often be found behind the brew kettle and at (beer) festivals.
Maartje - Senior Maker and Designer
What doesn’t she do? Maartje has been working at CUT since October 2017 and keeps busy with almost everything: from product design and production to customer contact, product photography, quality control and supervising interns. Her duties also include B2B orders and inventory management.
What Maartje likes most about her work at CUT is the enormous amounts of diversity in work. Sitting still isn’t her thing. She’s just as creative outside of work: pottery, crafting, playing with her kids, and playing volleyball give her energy.
Iris - Junior Maker and Designer
As the newest addition to the team, Iris has been working as a junior maker and designer since September 2025. She deals with production, customer contact, product design, quality control and inventory management. She also assists with B2B orders, invoices and supervising interns.
What Iris likes about working at CUT is the variety and diversity of tasks. No two days are the same. Outside of work she enjoys drawing, playing korfball and relaxing with gaming. She felt welcome within the team from day one.
Reang - Helping Hand
Reang has been involved with CUT since 2013, but currently works primarily within Brandpunt, where she plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the café. When needed, she also jumps in for Creative Use of Technology to support the team.
She contributes to the warm, informal atmosphere that is so characteristic of Brandpunt and CUT. Outside of work, Reang enjoys cooking, crafts and socializing.
Sandra - Marketing and Support
Sandra has been supporting CUT’s online marketing work since February 2025. She mainly focuses on creating content and posting it on social media. She also works on the website and likes to help where needed with production, supervising interns and customer contact. When it’s really busy at Brandpunt, you may also see her in the kitchen.
Sandra loves the variety of tasks she can do, “You just can’t get bored.” Outside of work, she enjoys reading, being creative, gaming, traveling and socializing.
Interns at Creative Use of Technology
At Creative Use of Technology, we don’t just work with a permanent team, we also offer opportunities to new talent. Every six months or so, we take on interns from various creative and technical courses to work in our workshop.
Interns really run with us: they work on products, designs, production and sometimes content. We find it important that there is room to learn, to experiment and to ask questions. CUT is not a place to just watch, but to discover what making means in practice.
Their fresh perspectives and new ideas keep us on our toes and ensure that we continue to grow together.
