How do I attach the world map to the wall?
The mounting of the wooden world map is surprisingly easy. The comprehensive instruction manual shows you the way! The world map is provided with high-quality double-sided tape on the back. With the included molds of the continents, even the smallest islands can be sticked in the right position on the wall.
We also made an instructional video, where you can see how the world map is attached to the wall.
I doubt what the wooden world map in the room looks like. Can you help me?
Don’t worry, if you send us a photo of the wall where you want to hang the world map, we can make an impression of how the world map hangs in your room! We offer this service for free! It is important that the photo is a straight view of the wall, and that you indicate the size of an object, for example a sofa. Then we can better estimate how large we should project the world map on the wall, because that remains an estimate. It is also nice that you indicate which type of wood you wish to see and which size. Do you want to use this? Send a picture of your wall and let us know which card(s) you are interested in. Then we make a projection of the world map on your wall. This will give you a good idea of what it would look like.
Are all walls suitable as a base for the wooden world map?
The world map is provided with strong tape, so that the map sticks to almost all walls! What is especially important is that the wall must be clean, dry and free of grease. The card must then be pressed down firmly (1 minute after confirming, again 24 hours later).
The structure of the wall has some influence on the adhesive strength of the double-sided tape. Our experience is that the adhesive strength of stucco granol or spachtelputz is sufficient in most cases, but that it strongly depends on the coarseness of the granol. If in doubt about the suitability of the wall, we recommend that you check our free wood samples with double-sided tape can be ordered, so that you can not only view the types of wood, but also test the adhesive strength on the wall.
How can I remove the product from the wall?
The world map, as well as the wooden letters and quotes, are designed to stick to the wall for a long time. However, if you want to remove your product from the wall, keep in mind that damage may occur to the underlying surface. The best way to do this is to lightly warm the surface with a hair dryer and then gently remove the pieces. For parts that won’t come off, you can use a putty knife and gently pry them up. We recommend that you save the cards so that you can reapply the card or letters elsewhere. However, we cannot guarantee that the card will stick as well as the first time.
Can I take the world map with me when I move?
The wooden world map is intended to be hung in one place on a one-time basis. It is possible to remove the world map with a putty knife, but there is a chance that the wall will be damaged by walls such as granol or wallpaper. The moment the world map is removed from the wall, the double-sided tape has lost its adhesive strength and it is only possible to hang the map again with a strong glue or sealant.
Is there a clear manual with the world map?
Of course! We have designed the wooden world map in such a way that it is easy to hang. In our included manual we explain step by step how to hang the world map. With the supplied molds for the continents, even the smallest islands can be glued to the wall in the right position!
Can I also view the world maps in a store?
Yes, we are located in Brandpunt, in the center of Breda, where we have all the world maps in the store in different types of wood and sizes. In Brandpunt you can actually see the laser cutters at work, because our workshop is located in the shop.

Can you also make larger format world maps?
We have a number of sizes that we sell as standard, but we have also made much larger ones on a number of occasions. If you are interested in this you can contact us!
How many wood samples can I order for free?
You can order one set of wood samples for free. The wood samples contain the 4 types of wood in which our wooden products are available: bamboo, oak, walnut and black MDF.
How do I stick my product to the wall?
The wooden world maps, but also the wooden letters and quotes are easy to stick on the wall thanks to double-sided tape.
How is the wooden world map shipped?
The world maps are packed in a custom-made packaging with beautiful printing. We ship for free with track and trace.
Is there a warranty on the world maps?
Naturally, we guarantee that the world map will arrive undamaged. Even if problems arise after it hangs, you can contact us to see how the problem can be solved.
Can I return or exchange the world maps?
It is certainly possible to return or exchange the world map for a different format within 14 days of receipt. If you want to exchange, we will settle the difference in price with you. We would like to ask you first to contact us.
How can I take care of my product?
With long-term care, you can ensure that the quality of the products you receive remains high for as long as possible. For leather products, occasionally cleaning the surface with a clean cloth is sufficient. For products that are made of wood, a little more maintenance is recommended. The wooden house number signs can be refreshed by sanding them lightly and applying a layer of hard wax oil with a clean cloth. For products with a higher intensity of use, such as the serving boards, greasing well with sunflower oil twice a year is sufficient.
Are the wooden products dishwasher safe?
In order to guarantee the quality of the product for longer, we do not recommend putting products such as the serving boards or coasters in the dishwasher. The high temperatures can damage the wood.
Leather products
Is the leather you use sustainable?
We get leather sheets from various sustainable suppliers. Our leather is also naturally tanned (instead of chemically) by the leather supplier.
Why does my product have a distinct smell?
Some natural materials are treated with special means to protect them, this can leave a specific smell in the beginning. The engraving can also have a specific smell in the beginning. However, this smell should subside over time.
Can I engrave the inside or the back of leather?
For some products, such as the vintage notebook, double engraving is possible on both the front and back. If you have a special wish, don’t hesitate to contact us and we can see what is possible together.
Are your notebooks refillable?
Absolute! Our refillable leather notebooks are available in A4, A5 and A6 sizes. You can order the refill in blank or lined paper directly on our website. However, we cannot guarantee that refills from others will match.
Engraving and laser cutting
How is the design engraved?
We use laser and engraving machines to burn the designs on mainly wooden and leather surfaces.
Can I engrave a logo or image?
Yes, you can engrave a logo, image or text on our wooden and leather products. However, not all images are suitable for engraving, some details can sometimes be lost when converting the image. If you want to know for sure, don’t hesitate to ask.
How long will the engraving last?
Forever, in engraving we burn the design into the material. The engraving is therefore permanent.
Can I engrave in color?
No, because we burn into the material, the engraving turns dark brown and we can’t add color.
Can I engrave my own product?
Yes! If you want to engrave your own product that is not part of our range, please contact us by e-mail to [email protected] to view the possibilities.
Can I view or pick up your products in store?
Yes, we have our Creative Use of Technology store located in Breda, at 16 Reigerstraat. You are most welcome to come and view our products or to request an engraving on site.
Service & Delivery
What are the shipping costs?
For shipping orders over $75, we will cover the cost of shipping. For orders under € 75, we use the following rate for letter size € 4.50 without track & trace and with track & trace € 5.50 within the Netherlands. International: €5.50 without track & trace and with track & trace €6.50
How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
After ordering, we need between 1 and 3 working days to prepare your order. This depends on the product as some of our products are personalized.
After shipment, the delivery time depends on where you live. Within Europe this is usually within 1 to 3 days.
What is your return policy?
Non-custom products can be returned within 14 days of receipt and the full purchase price will be refunded. The shipping costs for the return shipment are at the expense of the customer. In principle, tailor-made products cannot be returned. Some products, such as a wooden watch with engraved text, can be returned in consultation.
Is there a warranty on your products?
If a product does not meet specifications, is defective or is not as expected, please contact us immediately. Do not return the products unless we ask for it. In consultation with us, you can choose to replace the product, repair it or refund the purchase price.
Are the watches for men or for women?
So many different people, so many different wrists and so many different tastes. To have something for every wrist, we offer a lot of different watches. But, which watch is suitable for whom?
The watches are unisex, which means that both men and women can wear the watches! We offer three different sizes: the 34, 36 and 43 mm. The size says something about the circumference of the watch case. The bigger the size, the bigger the watch case.
In general, we see that the 34 mm is mainly ordered for women, the 36 mm is ordered for both men and women and the 43 mainly for or by men. Don’t let this stop you as a man from just going for the 34 mm. The small clock with colored dial has something fashionable!
When will I receive it?
After ordering, we need between 1 and 3 working days to prepare your order. This depends on the product as some of our products are personalized.
After shipment, the delivery time depends on where you live. Within Europe this is usually within 1 to 3 days.
Can I use my own image or logo?
Do you have an image or logo that you would like to use in your design? Please contact us and email the file. Then we can see if we can add it to our design tool.
For this we prefer a file in .ai .png or .pdf. Don’t have any of the above files? Then you can also send the image as .jpg.
The engraving will always be dark, which is why we prefer a black and white image. If you don’t have this, we will convert the image into black and white for you.
What is your return policy?
