Your own photo translated into a unique halftone wooden portrait, how special is that! The Headlines portraits are great for gifting or just hanging on the wall yourself. A mesmerizing combination of light, shadow and illusion creates visual wonder in any space. The spacing in the lines together forms an interesting picture. The interplay of black MDF and your own wall creates a soft shadow effect, creating an optical effect that adds sophistication to any room
Order the product above. With the order confirmation we will send you a detailed instruction in which we tell you what your photo must comply with and how to send it to us.
First, we look to see if the photo is suitable for the Main Line Portraits. Our design team will then edit the photo free of charge for the most optimal result. Within 1-2 business days we will email you back with the design so you can see how the wall decoration will turn out. Only when you are completely satisfied, we will cut it out for you and send it to you within 1-3 business days.
- Of course, the photo should be of good quality, that is, sharp and high resolution.
- The effect is best when the background is light (or even completely gone), as the heads stand out better. This can be edited by us if necessary.
- The larger we can image the head, the better the result. A family photo is certainly possible, but here the heads will be smaller and less detail will be visible. We keep 4 people as the max for this product. Do you really want more people? Then the unit will have to be larger, feel free to ask us about the possibilities!
- It doesn’t necessarily have to be photos of people, by the way; this effect works very well with animals, too.

The “Headlines” portraits are made of high-quality Black MDF. The wood is black throughout and still shows some fibers which gives it a natural and stylish look.
We use FSC certified wood from sustainable sources and the final product is designed and made in our workshop in Breda, the Netherlands. Before the panels are cut out with the laser, they are coated with oil for an even and deep black color.
Despite the complexity of the design, installation is surprisingly simple. Each panel features four pre-cut nail holes. We supply the right nails with it, so you can hang your artwork in no time.
The portraits are also suitable for putting away on a shelf or cabinet, however, the effect is clearest if they hang flat against a back wall and are well lit.
