Can I also view the wooden maps in a store?
Yes you can, we are located in Brandpunt, in the center of Breda, where we have all wooden maps hanging in the store in different wood types and sizes. In Brandpunt you can actually see the laser cutters at work, because our workshop is located in the shop.
How do I attach the wooden world map to the wall?

No worries, if you send us a picture of the wall where you want to hang the map world map, we can create an impression of how the map made of wood will hang on the wall in your room! We offer this service for free! It is important that the photo is a straight view of the wall, and that you indicate the size of an object, for example a sofa. Then we can better estimate how big to project the map world on the wall, because that remains an estimate. It is also nice that you indicate which type of wood you wish to see and which size. Do you want to use this? Then send a photo and let us know which world map(s) you are interested in. Then we will create a projection of the wooden world map on your wall. This will give you a good idea of what it would look like.
Are all walls suitable as surfaces for the wooden map world?
The wooden world map comes with strong tape, making the map stick to almost all walls! What is especially important is that the wall must be clean, dry and free of grease. The map should then be pressed firmly (press for 1 minute after attaching, again 24 hours later).
The structure of the wall has some influence on the adhesive strength of the double-sided tape. Our experience is that the adhesive strength of stucco granol or spachtelputz is sufficient in most cases, but that it strongly depends on the coarseness of the granol. If in doubt about the suitability of the wall, we recommend that you check our free
wood samples
with double-sided tape to order, so you can not only view the woods, but also test adhesive strength on the wall.
What is the delivery time of a wooden map?
After your order, we immediately begin production in our workshop if we do not have the world map in stock. Generally, the wooden map world is shipped within 1 to 3 business days, as we have most wooden world maps in stock. For urgent requests or faster delivery, we recommend contacting us so that we can make every effort to meet your specific needs. The maps are packaged in custom-made packaging with beautiful printing. We ship for free with track and trace.
Can you also make larger format world maps?
We have some sizes of maps that we sell by default, but we have made much larger ones on a number of occasions. We have also made custom wooden world maps, such as a world map of moss. If you are interested in this please contact us!
Can I take the map world map with me when I move?
The wooden world map is intended to be hung in one place on a one-time basis. It is possible to remove the map with a putty knife, but there is a chance of damaging the wall with walls such as granol or wallpaper. The moment the map world map is removed from the wall, the double-sided tape has lost its adhesive strength and it is only possible to re-hang the map with a strong adhesive or sealant.
If you want to remove the wooden world map from the wall, keep in mind that there may be damage to the underlying surface. The best way to do this is to lightly warm the surface with a hair dryer and then gently remove the pieces. For parts that won’t come off, you can use a putty knife and gently pry them up. We recommend saving the fitting pieces so you can reapply the map somewhere else. However, we cannot guarantee that the map world will stick as well as it did the first time.
Is there a warranty on the map world or can I return it?
Needless to say, we guarantee that the map world map will be undamaged

Which wooden world map will you go for - Antarctica or Mercator?
You can project the world on a map in different ways. There are 2 versions of the world map, called the Antarctica and the Mercator projection.
The Antarctica projection is a bit wider and stretched, the Mercator projection is a bit higher and less stretched and has more detail.
